Sun protection matters for every skin tone. UV exposure contributes to dark spots, uneven tone and premature ageing, and it can worsen conditions like melasma.
Physical vs chemical
- Mineral (physical) sunscreens use zinc oxide or titanium dioxide and suit sensitive skin
- Chemical sunscreens absorb UV, often feel lighter and leave less white cast
What to look for
Pick "broad spectrum" protection with SPF 30 or higher. Oily or acne-prone skin does well with gel or fluid textures labelled non-comedogenic; dry skin benefits from creamier formulas.
How to apply
Use about two finger-lengths for the face and neck, apply 15 minutes before going outside, and reapply every two hours or after sweating. Our pharmacists can recommend a product for your skin type.
